As it's chnaged so much I thought it right that people could comment on the various shows good or bad... at least it should be a guide... _________________ Cheers,

okay it has been two weeks...since i can say I am an avid listener to traxx here are my two cents comments
I love the new jingle...very infectious... but I am not very sure about the tag line..travel and music...hmmmm it doesnt sound catchy enuff... I dont really see a radio dedicated solely on tourism is a good thing. Well A tv station on tourism is interesting.. but a radio station? hmmm i found it becoming too boring after a few days..
The new DJs... sadly the new one are really hopeless in promoting Malaysia as tourism spot. Some of them cant even pronounce the name of the place properly! I remember once they were promoting Rentak Juara a band competition.. and the person has no idea what it is??? aiyoooo
I think PNM in the afternoon has done a better job promoting tourism in Malaysia... atlest PNM now a great deal about the food, the place etc...hey but i mght be bias coz i love them both lol _________________ One of the bujang lapok's (you sure) |

.. as I understand it the wonderful management at TraxxFM still can't make decisions so everybody is taking turns at different shifts... now that's what I call continuity... I hope the Controller has overworked that brain cell, it's got to last another year.. _________________ Cheers,

This is a great idea for a thread! And guys, if you have any comments on myself (I'm the one who goes by Fadhil or FadTheDillyO -> that's the name I was christened with by one of the seniors ) and my partner Mary (I guess she's the one En Zul is referring to with 'Miss Nasal'. haha, I'm sorry, I shouldn't be laughing at that but...hahahahaha...although I think Mary is great, and personally I think she's got a great voice that I never noticed was nasally...and don't worry, whatever happens within the family, stays in the family....eh....simply only I go and admit myself to be a member of the family...Pat, Mag, can arr? can I be family?). I'm super duper new with the whole DJ thing, I was from an IT background and I think I would appreciate feedback from you guys, if you have any. Especially since I'm sort of intruding on your regular show. And if you guys want to kutuk also...I think I'm pretty open about that sort of stuff. Being a bit on the big side, I've been jeered and laughed at so much, I can only join in the mirth! (Although, nobody can say I don't keep in shape: Round IS a shape!). Hope to hear from you guys, yeah! And Pat and Mag too! Laters! |

Thanks for the vote of confidence! Although, at the moment, I'm mostly just doing whatever they tell me to, obviously since I'm new, I'll just go with the flow. Like I mentioned in another thread, I'll pop by here every now and then, and with open arms take your comments/criticisms. |

Marty! What dildo r u talking abt here?
Well Fadhil or Fadadilio, welcome to the forum. Wat abt posting ur pic here so we can properly welcome you as the latest member of the family?
Hehe.. Zul got shot for my doing. But Zul gave good advice. So Fadhil, take heed not to repeat the mistakes done by 'some dj's'. Play music that you think listeners want to hear coz if there's no demand, price will decrease. _________________ Yours Truly,

Yes the change is pretty confusing huh!!! I catch mag on tuesdays and wednesdays at 10am - 12 noon. The new match-ups are kind of at a pre-mature stage! It's obvious that everyone is trying to adjust !! Well the best to all especially the new dj's & "FadTheDillyO'' You're doing fine lah!! take it easy! Don't stress!. Hope we can have a "Schedule" soon!! Have not heard "Sie-fu Pat" so far! |

Who ketuk my Mary sayang? U kah Zul? Come, sayang...we go and sit on that budak Zul!!! See if he can survive the two of us!!! Hahahahahaha!!!! Haiz!!! I seldom listen to Traxx anymore except when driving in the car...as in Sibu, we cant get all the "other" stations....I listen to the not-co-glorious Morning Glory; my goodness...I puked! U must excuse me!!! That constant pain and the how-u-spell-the name-(I think it's not Kylie!)-with-the horrible-accent-and-whining voice!...Should go for vocal training to lower the pitch so it won't be that irritating!!!!....Haiz!!! I can go on and on and on......but what's the use? It's just not the same anymore?
P.S.: Anybody knows what Ah Len and whoever have been bringing for Grandma Kruzer? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! _________________ CIKGU ARTHUR

Aha! A place where we can really leash our thoughts on the new TraxxFM..... before I spill my thoughts, I'd like to make it clear that I'm not trying to diss anyone or show disrespect in any way. I have a long and standing history with this particular English station - way back since it was known as the Blue Network (some of you weren't even born yet then). From the time I was young enough to understand the concept of radio, this was the station that I was exposed to as my mother was a loyal listener back then. From Blue Network, it changed its name to Radio 4 - I was also a listener, and then it changed its name again to TraxxFM and guess what.... I'm still here, as loyal as ever. Becoz of my long history with the station, I feel that i have a lil 'right' to voice out my own personal opinion. Once again, I don't mean no disrespect to no one.
Morning Glory - it pales in comparison to the Wake Up. The contents of the show is kinda 'loose' with not much uumph! Personally, I feel Cons and Kylie really need to work on making the contents more compact in order to capture the listeners interest.
Coast to Coast - this is a shared slot time between the Matic studio and HQ. I don't see any problems from the HQ side but for the Matic broadcast.... the jocks put there should do their homework. Without naming any names, there was one time I was tuning in and the broadcast was done from the new studio. From my understanding of this whole Travel & Music concept, the teaming up of the two ministries, it's basically to help boost our tourism industry, right? And the existence of the Matic studio is like a 'tool' to do just that. Imagine my horror when I tuned in one morning to hear the jock on duty doing the Hot 100 Billboard while broadcasting from the Matic studio! Like, how on earth is that supposed to help boost our tourism industry???? Sad thing is, this booboo wasn't done by any of the 5 new jocks but by someone who's been in Traxx for quite sometime. Something not right with the picture, eh?
After Coast to Coast comes the slot time where I used to religiously tune in to without fail. I'm not gonna lie and say that I'm still sticking to that slot time coz I'm not. It's not becoz I have anything against Mary and Fathil or becoz of my loyalty to the Afternoon Show, no. It's more becoz that's the time where I now get most of my work done so that I'll have enough time to go home for some shuteye before I play vampire for the graveyard slots. I don't mind Mary at all. As one of the 3 finalists of DJ Impian, I think she's done pretty well for herself and more important, she can hold up fort. Fathil and Mary make a good pair.
Street Talk - personally, I like this show alot. Priscila sounds relaxed and pretty much at home and she and DD make a good pair as well. A partnership that works.
Drive By - Sheila needs to loosen up as right now she sounds 'too maintained', unnatural and stiff. Nicky needs to guide her more in order to make Drive By exciting and interesting.
As for the selekta series, I feel that the anchor for the R&B selekta should be changed. Either Pat or Najee would make a better bet to anchor it in order for R&B selekta to be on par with Jazz & Rock It. The existing anchor doesn't do much justice right now.
Since most of the senior jocks are now put on graveyard, the graveyard slots are very interesting and fun. Totally worth staying up for. Take it from someone who's been doing the graveyard 'marathon' for weeks now |
