|
|
Hey guys, take a few minutes to read this story that was forwarded to me help pass the word around to every girl you know and care about.
On Saturday, 16th, at 6:45pm a girl boarded a taxi at the Wangsa Maju LRT to return home. At the end of the road, the taxi driver stopped to pick up another passenger (male) who seemed to be going off the same direction. Well, the girl didn't suspect anything funny as they looked genuine, and he was going her direction and she was in a hurry. Little did she suspect that she was in for a huge trauma! But when she asked the taxi driver to turn into the junction where she lives, the driver pretended to miss it and the male passenger said that since they were already nearer to his place, why not send him off first and the driver politely asked the girl if that's ok and she thought she was doing a good deed! As soon as they got to the end of the housing area next to the big walls of the Academy TV3, the male passenger, locked all the doors and leapt to the back and held a knife at her throat and forced her to bend her head down - she had to give up her jewelry, and the $200 cash she had. Not satisfied with only that much, they threatened for more so they drove off to Maybank Jln Setapak and took out everything she had and that was around 7:30pm...
The driver returned the card after clearing the account ! Then they drove off to the back area of Tasik Titiwangsa and dropped her off there. Left her with only $10 and they asked her to take another taxi home! The girl had to walk a long way back to the main road to get help and she is really traumatised by all these. Later at the police station we found out that she was victim #3 that same day! Let's remind everyone we know, as it could easily happen to us too or to anyone we care about.
The lesson to be learnt here:
1. always check the plate # BEFORE you board a taxi.
2. always check the other things that a taxi should have - the driver's ID, the inside number etc etc.
3. NEVER allow the driver to pick up another passenger - No matter what! If they do, get off and just pay the man.
4. avoid taking the taxi alone, if you can.
5. be extra careful if it is after office hours. _________________ Happy, Healthy & Bubbly |

I'd like to add another useful point to Mag's list..... if you're living in the Klang Valley and you need to take a taxi, get in touch with our very own friendly cabbie, Cash. He's reliable, trustworthy and he'll be sure to take you from point A to point B safe and sound and in one piece. Apart from an assured safety, it'd be good business for him too. Remember ladies, the world is no longer safe like what it used to be so it's better to be extra careful. |

I don't think KL cabbies would be down with GPS..... coz then they won't have an excuse to take the much longer route to get to their destinations and keep the meter running a wee bit longer than necessary, right?
But of course not all cabbies are like that. Cash is one example of a good and honest cabbie. He wouldn't take advantage of his customers like that. |

Cash..? You're blaming it on the place that I live in???? Dude, as far as I can recall, you couldn't find your way to Dataran Prima as well or did you forget about that lil incident? But all the same, you're still one of the friendliest cabbies I've known and it's always a real pleasure being in your company. Remember the time we got lost in Putrajaya while trying to find Zul's house? We had to call Zul to ask for directions and we still had a hard time finding the place.... especially when Zul said to look for some huge gas tanks as the landmarks and we couldn't find any. They were water tanks not gas tanks. We found the place in the end and had a good laugh after that. Miss hanging out with you guys..... |

awww... stories like that always make me miss you guys more and Cash... that is so true! not about not taking our money... cuz that you have to... its what you get after a long day at work! and you deserve it!
anyway, what I said was so true is to always get the numbers of cabbies who are pleasant and trustworthy... maybe if your neighbour is a cabbie... you can ask him too... _________________ Happy, Healthy & Bubbly |

But you know what's cool and nice about taking Cash's cab? He's always so considerate.... always checking if you've had your meal and if you haven't, he'd insist on taking you for some mum-mums first before he sends you to wherever you wanna go. Where else can you find a cabbie as sweet as that? |

Yup, one in a million. And speaking about mum-mums.... one time I was sick he came over to take me for some food. It was raining cats and dogs and he wanted to eat some soup daging and some nasi lemak so he took me to the stalls at Dorai (opposite Wilayah Complex). I could barely finish my one packet of nasi lemak coz I was so drugged up on meds but our friend had three bowls of soup daging and get this.... seven packets of nasi lemak in one sitting! I kid you not. He told me that he's planning to beat that record at some point I say "Go for it Cash!" |

Erm Zul...? You're actually suggesting we hang out for some makan-makan? Let's see.... how many times have we had this same conversation? Plenty of times. Cash and I are always game. You're the one who doesn't want to come out of Putrajaya. In case you haven't noticed, there is a whole world out there outside of Putrajaya Zul.... |
