Well guys it's October, Autumn over here where the leaves turn to different colours and nature looks just wonderful and then the surprise! Back when Subang airport was still known as Subang International Airport. He took like the cheapest flight he could find at that time, which was on Aeroflot, flew to can't remember where, and then he got himself hired on some ship that was travelling to some other part in Europe. He did some hard labour job on board the ship but at least he to his free ticket to travel. By the time he got to London, he was all set as my aunt (his sister) was there so no worries about lodging whatsoever. He was away for many months but then again, it was back then.... way back when things were so much cheaper.
