Gosh...just a couple of centimetres more, the water would have got into the house. Pam says the water IN her house was 1 foot deep! Haven't heard from the rest. Should be better today cos it's the 4th Day in the Chinese Lunar Calendar - the highest is supposed to be on the 3rd Day. But hopefully, the weather holds! And the water from the flooded areas upriver will not rush down too quickly. Let us pray.....

It's the underwater world here. I thank God i can still access the internet cos there's a phone upstairs. hehe.. Occasionally, i'll have to go downstairs for food. Wading in the cool water is kinda fun. U should try it, Arthur. hehe..

And some people are blaming it on the politicians! Gosh! Must be the younger ones who were not around yet...those days when we had floods at least once a year...and we would be SO happy! Holiday! Swimming all day long in the water in our homemade boxers (rubber band or drawstring type; the former could be quite risky though! You might lose it in the current!)...and our houses were on stilts so we were quite high and dry! I would blame it on global warming and illegal logging upstream. I wonder what these young people have done (if at all) to help reduce global warming...?????

Definitely! I wouldn't wanna swim in the flood waters now...! Will probably end up with all kinds of rashes and skin problems. Of course, those days there were fewer people, houses were few and far between, lots of trees and greenery...and we didn't have all the modern-day pollutants! Ah...those were the days!

but partially it's all your faults right? the older citizens had so many children like there was no tomorrow! so now got way too many people and people who have absolutely no respect for mother earth!
