Well the oil/petrol prices is up again...sigh... but hey its not like its Malaysian event.. its the whole is suffering. The perbarrel price of oil is like $130 ish now... imagine that.. during the ex PM era it is $60-70ish... so think about it ok..

so rather than go filling up your full tank yestersday (a rather baffling act i might say) lets do what we should be doing all along.. BERJIMAT.

1. Use public transportation. Yeah ours is not that good (beg to differ coz at my place it is marvelous) but give it a try. While waiting read some books.

2. Make sure your vehicle is in optimum condition coz the better your car running the less it burn fuel. Chech your tyre, make sure the preassure is optimum.

3. Dont drive like you are shumacher...oppss i mean alonso... opps i mean hamilton.. coz the more pedal to the metal the more thirsty your car will.

4. Car pool people!...who knows you will enjoy it.

So less complaining.. it is envitable that we need to increase the price of the oil... but atleast it is good for nature... coz less polution (i hope)

... I filled up yesterday here in the UK. 38 litres cost nearly GBP45.00 so that is GBP1.18 per litre. So the cost to fill up was around RM292... or RM7.67 a litre....

What does a litre cost now in Malaysia?

It's misleading to compare the prices directly. U've got other factors to consider as well.

yeah its true...... we have to factor other things... so i have another benchmark for that which is called Bigmac index...(nooo im not kidding) which shows the purchasing power of all country buying that big mac... so lets see

http://www.oanda.com/products/bigmac/bigmac.shtml

if we take that for example...our puchasing power is not bad as if compare to others

aiseh... seeing all this... i just realize living in Malaysia is not all that bad.... our car is still DARN expensive....but think about this... if all cars are cheap... more people will have cars.... more cars on the road... more oil usage.... more traffic jam...than people complain about road usage etc..

So i vow to less complain and seek solution... Lets green the earth!

All very well Zul but a Big Mac varies from country to country as to the ingredients so that's no comparison.... now Kentucky Fried Chicken or Pizza Hut would be better.... Laughing Laughing Laughing

Exactly. When comparing oil prices, make sure the other variables remain constant. In other words, the other conditions must be similar. Eg. oil producer/exporter, political/social policies, GDP, etc. Only then, we truly know Malaysia's oil price is the lowest in the region.
